DISTINCTIVE STYLES AND DIVERSE TERROIR. Spanning 1600 kilometres and ten degrees of latitude, New Zealand wines reflect a wide range of styles, climates and soil types. Diversity further enhanced by the individual winemaker - all combining to make truly distinctive wines. Main varieties are sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, pinot noir, riesling, méthode traditionelle sparkling wines and cabernet sauvignon/merlot blends. More recent varieties include viogner and syrah. There are ten main wine growing regions.
